Both types of diabetes share symptoms, although symptoms for type 1 diabetes are dramatic and occur suddenly. For people with type 2 diabetes, symptoms may worsen gradually over months or even years, or may be so subtle that they go unnoticed.

The symptoms of diabetes include:
